How much do you cost?
I am available for commissions on both an hourly rate and project basis. Meaning I can be paid by the hour (£9/12.57EUR/13.75USD - Amounts correct at time of publishing. Current exchange rate can be found here), or we can work out a full amount for the completion of a project (projects can range from £75-150 on average, depending on their complexity).
If you would like to hire me hourly, simply click the Paypal button provided to hire me for over three hours work.
How long will it take?
That depends on you! Every project that I do is unique since I work closely with my client to meet their needs. The complexity, communication, availability and feedback after the initial sketches (all of this play a part).
As rough guideline previous, small projects have taken as little as 2 days, but then larger more detailed commissions have taken two weeks or more.
If you have a specific deadline in mind, please contact me a few weeks before to ensure I can prioritse your work and meet the deadline. Tight deadlines may increase the price.
How do you work?
I like to complete commissions in a systematic approach, so we can easily keep track of th project:
All information/Brief is sent (What is required, any associated marketing materials and any deadlines).
Full payment projects: A deposit of 50% is made for those who want to pay in full, so I can begin working.
Hourly Payment projects: For me to begin work, simple make a £30 payment to hire my services for over three hours (Via email or using the paypal button provided).
Initial stage: After receiveing the details, I begin creating one or two rough sketchs, these are then sent to you to feed back; I continue creating sketches until we find your perfect character.
Cleaning up and colouring: Once we have found your perfect character, I will begin cleaning it up and send another preview file before colouring.
Final payment: Once you are totally happy with the final product, you can then send payment (Full payment projects).
Files: Once payment is recieved I shall send all the final files.
- Take a look at a case study of one of my commissions to see How we work together.
What equipment and software do you use?
I use a Wacom Intuos 4 large drawing tablet along with a variety of Adobe CC software, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
If you are not entirely satisifed with the final product (and cannot be improved with any alterations). Then you will be eligible for a refund of your deposit. I will only charge for initial concept sketches (that you have recieved digitally) that
you have approved.
Available File formats?
I usually prefer to work using a combination of freehand and vector tools to produce a high quality raster file (minimum 5000 x 5000 px, or a custom requested size/resolution), but vector formats are available, so i am able to produce finished designs in many formats. I typically produce JPG, IFF, GIF, PSD, AI and EPS files, but please get in touch if you have other requirements. If you are unsure of the best format for project, I am more than happy to advise on this.
Who owns the finished product?
Upon receipt of payment you will own all copyright of the finished product. But I will retain the right to share designs on my website and social media to help promote my services. However if you require any special measures (such as signing a confidential agreement), please contact me to discuss these special measures.
How do I pay?
The most common form of payment is through Paypal (because it is safe and secure for you and me), I will however consider other safe payment methods. This can be agreed upon via email, or you can use the quick and easy Paypal button provided for hourly hire.
